I had 4 miscarriages and they were caused by stress or poor diet. Miscarriages happen for a wide range of reasons.

I have had 3 m/c 2 I had a feeling something wasn't right, but the 3rd I thought was going to be okay, but woke up 1 morning and just didn't feel right sure enough had an u/s the nxt day and baby had passed I was 10 wks.My way of looking at it was there was something wrong with the baby and it's gods way (not that I'm religious). But I really don't think people know why it happens.I have a few freinds that have lost there babies very late in pregnancy, now that I don't understand.

they happen for all kinds of reasons. Sometimes they can be explained and sometimes they cant. I've had 4 miscarriages and it wasn't until my fourth and most recent that my doctor finally did some blood work. Your body can naturally in the pregnancy if it senses that the pregnancy is not viable due to chromosomal abnormalities, low progesterone or other medical problems can attribute to miscarriages. Excessive amounts of caffeine have also been linked to miscarriages in the first trimester. My doctor ran a thrombolytic panel and found that I have 2 blood mutations that cause excessive clotting during pregnancy.(4g/4g homozygous PAI-1 polymorphism and MTHFR gene mutation) The clots can interfere with the blood supply to the placenta and ultimately end a pregnancy. I am currently 7 weeks pregnant and during this pregnancy am having to take progesterone tablets, baby aspirin, and lovenox shots daily throughout the entirety of my pregnancy. if you have had more than three miscarriages it may be a good idea to speak to your physician about running additional blood test to see if you could have some kind of mutation in your blood that is causing you to have problems. I only have the mutation blood disorders when I am pregnant.

There are so many known reasons why they happen such as the baby not developing properly, stress, weak cervix, baby not developing in the correct place, etc., but there are also unknown reasons.  I have had 3 miscarriages and they have all been a mystery.  Things happen at their own time. I'm currently 3 mos pregnant.
