missed period negative test

So I'm trying to figure out if this could mean I'm pregnant or not,  my period if 5 days late,  but I've had negative pregnancy test. My cycle is very regular so it's weird to have missed it for me. Recently tested today. When I look online to see when you can test everything says it's recommended to wait until a week after your missed period,  but seems like in the other post on here,  I should have a positive test by now.

You could always have a blood test done at your doctor's office.

I took a test a few days before my missed period because I noticed my breasts leaking when I seen spots on my bra. It was positive. I think everyone is different. Depends on your hormones and etc... I didn't even take mine of the morning like the tests suggest. But stress, changing eating habbits... and all kinds of stuff can cause a late period. I'd give it time and take another.

It can still be to early for a positive test because ovulation can happen at any time
