Ideally you should wait until 12 weeks or even until the baby shower but I can totally relate!! I'm 21wks and already got a dresser full of clothes (all purchased at second hand discount shops). I have a moses basket and a crib too, both of which are hand me downs and free items. I'm not in a position to purchase a lot of things but if I was I would totally Buy them now lol.
You can never have too many diapers though, but if you do buy them, get size 1 or even 2 because they grow out of nb in a week usually.

I bought a vot and change table at 8 wks. I think it depends on how you feel about it. Some women don't dare buy a thing til almost due and others go nuts prior to even becoming pregnant (I know a girl like that). Do what you think is right for you and your situation.  Best of luck

I personally waited until I knew that everything was ok and found out what the gender was. I'm almost 22 weeks now and I have a healthy baby girl on the way she's due on May 5th. And for Christmas everyone bought stuff for her because they figured that's what I would rather have. :) and I'm having a baby shower in March so I'll have everything that I possibly need for my little princess. :)

My husband has gone crazy with baby shopping. He's already picked up our stroller and car seat. But the other girls are right when they say to wait at least 3 months.

I waited to buy the bigger things but diapers and wipes we started pretty early. Anything like that you know you will need and yoy will go through. Buy different variety of sizes too that way you are safe for the next stage right away. And I didn't really think about it when I would buy, just look for sales. I'm now 33 weeks and he has a huge stock pile of diapers that I am so happy about

You shOuld wait until your friends throw you a baby shower, and until you find out the gender. After that make a list and get busy :)

I shopped throughout my pregnancy so i didn't have to spend large amounts at one time. I'm now 33wks and i have everything except the diapers and lotion and wipes,  and bathtub and shampoo and stuff. So in a couple weeks I'll get paid again and buy the rest and I'll be all done.

I started buying somethings here and there. After I found out the gender is when I really start shopping.  :)

I dont think its ever too soon. You will be doing yourself a budgeting favor if you start early rather than last minute :)
