Any Muslim mummies here? What is your plan for Ramadan?  Anyone planning on fasting?

I tried with my first pregnancy but couldn't due to morning sickness.  Same as this one. Plus im still breastfeeding.

Yea it's hard making up the fasts later. This will be the 3rd year not fasting due to pregnancy and breastfeeding. Oh well. Pregnancy is a blessing :)

I am not fasting I also get really sick when am hungry, and you don't have to when you are pregnant or breastfeeding. You can either make it up before the next Ramadan or feed people who can't afford much for the 30days and that is considered as a replacement, that is what I been told and will being doing inshallah. You can ask someone who knows more then me to be sure.

I am glad that you are not going to fast that would be so hard on your body and your babies. I am not Muslim but I grew up in Saudi Arabia and remember everyone else fasting during Ramadan. I hope that you will not be looked down on for not fasting.

My husband is Muslim. I am not however he always taught me that fasting is not necessary during pregnancy, illness, or travel. But you just make it up at another time in the year. I could be wrong of course, but I'm not sure how well you will feel or how the baby will respond to not having food that long. Either way Allah will take care of you so just do as you feel is best.
