Yes. They hurt. I'm 33 weeks and even though it doesn't hurt as often it's still annoying :/

I got what they called pregnancy gingivitis with my second child. It was bad, my gums were sore, swollen, and when I would touch them they would start bleeding. I even scheduled an appointment to see my dentist and they wanted to numb my whole mouth and basically use a water pressure underneath my gums I was like NO THANK YOU. I noticed that my gums got better when I cut out sugars.

It is always recommended that you go to your dentist once every 3-4 months during pregnancy because of the stress it can have on your teeth.

They say pregnancy can put you at a higher risk of getting gingivitis and other stuff like that. :( I'd pay more attention to brushing your gums when you brush your teeth. I almost let my gums get infected by not brushing my teeth enough once and I noticed my gums getting sensitive in lots of places and freaked out and began to brush my teeth more regularly (i was like 13 and didnt really care at the time) and yeah it hurts so it seems like the opposite of what you wanna do is brush more fervently but my soreness went away in days

Yes it can be if your platelet levels are low. I have had terrible time with my teeth this pregnancy.  My gums have shrunk back a bit and are exposing a part of some teeth making them ache when I eat or brush them.
