So yesterday I went to w.I.c. and had to give them my son's provider one card. But the thing is the medical people didn't put the r on the end of It.so i thought it was no big deal cause it probably didn't fit. And w.I.c was trying to tell me that they have to put what's on the card in file and I told them abdulshaku isn't is name. Its abdulshakur. So I pulled out his ssc and he said well, I have to call and get a new one with the r . And then he made a comment well u can change his name, without any problems since he's still young, just informing u, with information. I guess since I'm non-muslim and my husband and son are. But I just found that plain rude.

That's rude considering it wasn't your fault that it wasn't spelt correctly! You don't just change someone's name just coz their tow young to know how would he feel if someone changed his name

That is really rude. I wouldve been very upset like even if your child wasnt muslim you can name him whatever you'd like. Geesh people have no respect, im sorry you had to deal with that. His name is amazing:)
