newborn wont latch! help

Hi ladies. I had my baby girl last week (on Christmas actually). I have yet to get her to breastfeed though. She wont even try to latch. She puts her mouth over my breast but won't close her lips and latch on. She won't suck at all. I've tried nipple shields and the nurses tried to help in the hospital, but nothing helped. I'm still trying but she gets extremely frustrated.so for now I'm pumping and feeding her by bottle. She has no problem with the bottles.  Can anyone give me any advice or tips?

I'm not sure if its available in your area but theres a product called latch assist which worked wonders for my son when he wouldn't latch.

I have not experienced this myself,as I am still waiting for my daughter to arrive, but my mom said I would not latch as a baby. She had to bottle feed me and always had to pump, some babies are just like that, of course then I have heard that some just take their time figuring it out.
