not Braxton hicks
I'm only 25w 5d I had some pretty bad contractions for an hour every 10 minutes. Defiantly not Braxton hicks. Low and in the back too. Yesterday I lost part of my mucus plug. But the contractions stopped and now I just feel sick. I can't go to the hospital because of the snow being so bad. Now I just want to sleep. 3rd baby and I have a placenta previa.
I know they are real. I've had Braxton hicks with both my other kids and have been having them with this one since 20w. But man this hurts bad.
When I had my first I was having real contractions that did stop, I know because I went in to get monitored because I didn't think they were Braxton hicks. But do call your ob and let them know what's going on.
Normal contractions do not stop they increase in intensity. Braxton hicks come and go that is what it sounds like. Losing your mucous plug doesn't necessarily mean your in labor or going to be anytime soon, in fact it can regenerate. You could call the Dr though and see what they say.
