I didn't have back pain.  I literally just started contracting rhythmically in the middle of the night so much that it woke me up.  I did have a lot of weird discharge and bloody mucousy stuff.  (sorry, that's gross).  But I went into contracting and that was it.  They started off hurting and ugh, then got to the point that they hurt so bad I would vomit with them.  I went into the hospital and I still wasn't dilating much.  Had to go home.  Contract, vomit, contract vomit for a whole afternoon.  Finally I was getting kooky so my husband took me back.  My cervix was open but unfortunately, all the laboring at home with the vomiting dehydrated me.  6 bags of fluid!  I was in pitiful shape.  Don't do THAT to yourself.  Once you feel contractions that you know are contractions and they hit that 6 to 5 minute mark, go in and don't let them make you leave.  :>)  it's amazing we go on to have second children, you know?

I've been having more bowel movements as to diarrhea. More pressure down there. But no back pain.

Own now (sorry got a phone call while typing) but just a little nervous and am kind of wondering what to expect. Wasn't sure if all the symptoms they say coming with labor all really come

Oh, I definitely had more pressure and almost like 'something' (like the baby's head?) was pushing down and making it hard to walk.  But I had that for two weeks before the 'big event' really got under way.  But definitely, I had a lot of pelvic and vaginal pressure.  And little pains here and there.  But it was different than when my true contractions started.  Did you feel any of your contractions when induced or did you have an epidural on board?

Well, with my first, I went 10 days over.  I will tell you, I waited and watched for symptoms every day.  When it started---  I knew.  It was unlike anything I'd ever felt.  Besides contractions that actually HURT, I also had diarrhea (which is pretty common) and bloody discharge.  (gross, sorry.)  There was no doubt that 'that' was it.  :>)

Your day is coming soon hon.  Hang in there!!
