panic/ anxiety attacks

Does anyone experience panic/ anxiety attacks? Last night I woke from sleeping and very suddenly I felt intensely cold and shivering.  The temperature in the house was normal. I grabbed a blanket and tried to warm up to no avail.  My teeth were chattering and my extremeties cold and rigid.  I had difficulty catching my breath inbetween shivers. The symptoms lasted 30 minutes before I got warm.  I'm 20 weeks and just starting to show. My stomach felt cold and hard too. I am worried about my expectant little one. I have appt tomorrow with a fetal care specialist. I have had this happen before when my house was broken into. any suggestions on what to do? Can these attacks hurt my baby?

We have gender reveal tomorrow and my husband is set on a boy. That may have led to my anxiety. I just don't want him disappointed!
I also get very hot at night. We keep the ac on73 all the time now. Its possible it was temperature but I have had anxiety attack before and it felt like one.

I'm the opposite, I have night sweats sometimes, literally wake up in the middle of the night drenched even if my a/c is below 75 degrees. It could be a hormonal imbalance causing you to feel suddenly cold to.

When you experience anxiety a lot of physiological changes occur (sweating, shivers, increased heart rate, etc.) Depending on the stage of pregnancy these stress signals, can affect your baby. But if your experiencing this only once in a blue moon I wouldn't be worried. If it's everyday or week then you may need to practice some serious relaxation techniques, so your baby isn't in distress.
