Ultrasound weights definitely are not accurate. Just remember that 7-9 pounds is the average and many women do just fine with bigger babies.
My daughter was estimated at 6.8 pounds, and came out at 8.14! So they can definitely be off. I ended up with a C-section, and at that point I honestly just wanted her to be healthy! No matter how they are delivered you will have a baby!
Ultrasound weight could go either way, up or down. With my first pregnancy ultrasound said 7.3 but ended up weighing 9 pounds 6 oz at birth which was a week or two later cant really remember
Use Evening primrose oil. Take orally and apply to the gate lol. I did it with my first and the doctors were amazed that a 9.5 pound baby caused only two stitches. You may already know this of you've been.preparing for a natural birth
Just go with the flow and don't stress. As long as the final result is healthy baby and healthy Mom it's a happy birth story. That being said, I'm pregnant with my fourth. My first was almost a section simply because labour was so long and I wasn't progressing. They advised me to have an epidural, which helped me relax and I finally had my 8.5 lb boy. My second was 6 hours, completely natural and just over 10 lbs. My 3rd was going to be a scheduled section because my placenta was too low but I grew so much in the last 2 months I had her natural too. I needed to be induced - water broke but no contractions. 3 hours later I had my 9 lb girl. No matter what happens, you will finally meet your little and that's the important thing. Good luck momma!!
I dont believe the ultrasounds because with my daughter they told me on a Thursday she was barely 7lbs. 2 days later I had her and she was pushing 9lbs lol.
My son they said he's barely 6lbs but uhm, my daughter was huge , my husband is 6'1 and I just do not feel this baby as barely 6lbs. I feel like he's bigger then my daughter. I'm due anyday if I dont have him by July 10th that morning I'll be induced. I'm hoping he comes before then as of Thursday Dr told me I was 2CM and 80% effaced. All night and this morning I have been having pains. They've been kinda consistent. They haven't gotten stronger or closer... I just have 4-6 pains an hour. There kinda slowing down at the moment and I'm really hurt because uhhhhhhh I wish this little boy would come already! I'm so miserable.
I just had an ultrasound and my doctor said my son weighs 5.2 now if theyre not that accurate how much do you guys think he really weighs? Any suggestions?
I had a c-section with my first and it wasn't planned. It really wasn't bad. I was ready to hold my son in my arms. The recovery takes a little longer and you need to be mindful of their instructions to help you heal. Medical science has come a long way and c-section are very safe now. If you do have a c-section both you and baby will be safe and well cared for. Best of luck!
Hello you not alone its my first and i feel the same way but you be okay. Im scared and excited. I was a preemie too me and my twin. I just think about a lot dont thinj too much.
I was told my baby would be 7 lbs and I ended up having an 8 lb 11 oz baby. The estimated weight was way off.
You're almost there! I know it's hard and tiring but it's so worth it. As far as weight, both my girls were almost 8 pounds and I had them naturally. I'm really small so you should be fine. Good luck.
The last week always feels like the longest wait. I'm sure you'll do fine hun. Is this your first I'm on my second and only 18weeks ATM
