No! Who told you that? I flat iron my hair every day AND I've dyed it twice and my baby is just fine.
And for those of you who enjoy being judgemental- I talked to my doctor before dying my hair and she said it was okay as long as I used a low ammonia dye.

There's nothing wrong with doing anything you want to your hair. Just stay away from harsh chemical smells.
