When I found out i was pregnant I switched from cigarettes to an electric cigarette. I started out with lower nicotine and then eventually dropped to no nicotine, and it still completely helps the cravings. You can get ones for pretty cheap, especially compared to how expensive cigarettes are now days! You can save up some money by not buying cigarettes and put that money toward an electric cigarette. Good luck

I've smoked for years and stopped cold turkey three times. For some reason, I cannot stand to be around cigarettes nor smoke them when I'm pregnant, so I'm very taken with your question. When I quit cold turkey, the main things that helped me was eating a peppermint and I've at the same time. The peppermint gave me the menthol flavor and the ice gave me the sensation of the cigarette smoke filling my lungs. Crazy but it works! Also, when I couldn't get to ice nor peppermint I either ate a sour pickle or ate sunflower seeds. The sunflower seeds were a huge help as well, they are good for you but also are salty...which deaden your taste buds and cigarette cravings all together. If you even tried to smoke a cigarette after eating sunflower seeds, you wouldn't want it!!! Good luck and stay strong!

This is not the best thing to say but...
I smoked for a long time before I got pregnant with my daughter. Then I just couldnt quit. It was so bad and it made me sad I wasn't doing the right thing for my baby. So my doctor put me on this medicine called Welbutrin.
It's for depression/anxiety but my doctor said it stops the urge to smoke. It helped me!!

I haven't had a smoke in three years! Woot woot!

Congrats on quitting!  Great job! You need a new way to deal with stress.  So, take deep, cleansing breaths any time you feel the urge.  Don't beat yourself up either.  Take every crisis one step at a time and commit to living a healthy lifestyle & long life so you can someday meet your baby's babies!!  One step at a time for longevity. Hang in there.  Pregnancy is stressful. You have to plan how to deal with the stress.  I haven't smoked in 12 years now.  It's possible for you too

I heard that if you put salt on the tip of your tongue it helps. Have you talked to your doctor about those vape cigarettes?
