I had such bad nausea I couldn't even hole fluids down. I lost 26 pounds. I was terrified I would lose my baby. The taste of food reminded me of raw chicken . I wasn't okay till around 5 months. I ate a lot of peppermint , that helped a lot. Canadá dry ginger ale helps. That's all that helped
I got zophran from my doctor it is great and safe for the baby
I'll ask my doctor about that. Thanks.
@proudmommytobe15 sorry you went thru that for so long. I keep fluctuating and this app says my weight gain is low. I don't think as of today I've gained any weight. Probably cuz I can mostly stomach just tasteless veggies like celery. Sigh.
My doctor gave me 2 different nausea mes and neither worked. I was out on an iv in the hospital and they put a medication in my iv that worked wonders. But by the time I was released it had worn off. I went from not looking pregnany at all to having a glove sized stomach lol it gets better with time , I'm just takes longer with some
I couldn't hold anything down either until I got to about 14-15 weeks. My doctor prescribed Zofran and it helped a lot; I was able to function. That being said, when i first took it, the side effects were almost worse that the nausea/vomiting. I would get super dizzy and extremely tired. Talk to your doctor about it and male sure you let them know if there are any side effects!
A little baking soda and peppermint was the only thing that helped me... hope u feel better...
I took zofran and phenergan...then the doctor added dyclegis which was too expensive. The medication is a vitaminB 6 analog and unisom. Ask your doctor about this combination which is the same as the prescription but is cheaper and can be purchased OTC. It helped some...but made me sleepy.
The b6 vitamin 100mg & unisom worked for me i took it at night and had me feeling good the whole day yes i was sleepy at times but its better than feeling nauseated and throwing up
I heard zofran gives your baby clef lip..it's not meant for
Pregnant women it's meant for people with cancer...don't risk it ...
