question about paracetamol

Since I entered 3rd pregnancy I have had really bad upper back pain and cant sleep at night due to the back pain and my ribs hurting when I lay on either side. It literally feels like my ribs are about to break in two between my chest and the sides of ribs feel so bruised. I am the type that do not like taking medication but this pain is seriously making me consider bying paracetamol. I was just wondering if anyone knows if paracetamol actually helps with this kind of pain or does it only help with headaches? I dnt want to take it if its not actually going to help. Thanks in advance for your advice! Xx

Thanks for responding, I will check if its the same as paracetamol. Never heard of tylenol. Bt then im from the UK and docs only suggest paracetamol for any sort of pain

I believe paracetamol is the same as acetaminophen(tylenol) correct?  If so than yes, ot is safe to take. I have the same pains as you do. When I lay on my sides it feels like I'm stretching so badly that my ribs are going to break, of they aren't already. And sitting up puts so much pressure and pain on my low back. I take tylenol pm at night to help me sleep, it works to a certain extent.
