doctor away around due date

My doctor is going to be away on vacation for 2 weeks at the end of December(im due Nye). I feel like I should get the option of being induced before she leaves? Anyone else heard of this? I dont want a stranger delivering my baby.....there is a reason why I picked her to be my doctor!  Lol

I can't answer about induction since I don't know. But I would call to ask to see another Dr in the practice if one exists or ask her who the hospital might have on call in her place and try to at least get in for a quick visit with that one to meet them. Just to feel more comfortable with any possibilities that might come up.

I believe there is only one other doctor there right now. Im not sure. When I started seeing her around 19 weeks she was the only ob there. But I had heard great things about her so I wanted her anyways. Im not sure if they've hired more obs or not. The other 2 left to start their own practices

Can you see another doctor or two before your delivery date? The practice I go to requires patients to see every doctor so you know them all when the time comes.
