should I be concerned

I am 18 pregnant with my first. The father ran out on me which is ok but this baby seems like the only good thing left. I went to the doctor about a week ago to hear the babys heart beat and everything looked and sounded great. But the past few days I have had no symptoms when at this point my breasts should be tender again by now and I should be nauseated as I am usually. But I have had nothing. Should I be worried if the baby is doing ok? Is there any way I can know without going to the doctor to have him check again?

Just think positive...your body and belly will change plenty of times throughout pregnancy.  And symptoms will come and go as they please. Every women and every pregnancy is different.  If you are indeed worried, call your doctor or go out and buy a doppler and gel so you can listen to your baby's heart beat whenever you are worried. I have a doppler and i used it during the first and second trimester. Don't really need it now since my baby is moving every hour and I'm 33wks. But it may help ease your mind.

You can't feel your uterus at all before 12 weeks as it resides under the pubic bone. Most pregnancy symptoms vanish after 12 weeks, so I would assume everything is normal unless you start bleeding.

I am 12 weeks tomorrow and I can no longer feel the firming of my belly or area over my uterous. I am concerned something is going wrong.

Maybe the symptoms subsided usually in the second trimester you start to feel "normal" again as your body has adjusted to the hormones. I'm 17 weeks and I'm just starting to feel some normality as well. Hope all is well
