hCG levels

So Monday (4w5d) I went in and had my first blood draw at 3:30pm and my hCG count was 360. Yesterday (Wednesday, 5wk0d), I had them redone again at 3:30pm (exactly 48hrs later). They called today with the results and the hCG count was 608. They increased but did not double which would have been 720. The nurse said the dr was not concerned at all, however I was concerned because I've always heard they should at least double every 48 hours. They rescheduled my first appt and u/s from 4/10 to next Wednesday when I will be exactly 6wks just to give me a peace of mind. Do you ladies think I should be concerned at the fact the numbers didn't double?? Also, at 6w0d, will I be able to at least see the heartbeat on the u/s?

I've never had a clue on what my numbers have been - in fact I didn't even know you could get a number on your level until I got this app!! I wouldn't put too much thought into it. Your pregnant and progressing - take some of the pressure off yourself. 6 weeks is early to see or hear a heartbeat - some women are 8 or more weeks before they have that experience. I think its why they wait until 12 weeks to scan you in a standard pregnancy in the UK as much earlier and it can cause stress rather then be a fun experience. Enjoy your scan and put your faith in your doctors. If they're not worried you shouldn't be. Best of luck and grats on your pregnancy x

I wouldn't be worried about the count. When I was exactly 6 weeks I saw my little one heart pumping away. But some women can't until 7 weeks. Also you will be more likely to see the heartbeat threw transvaginal ultrasound
