I found out I was pregnant as a smoker and smoked for about 3 days after because just quitting cold turkey is hard. But after three days I felt so guilty and like I was killing my baby I just stopped. I bought a bunch of candy to suck on and stopped hanging around the smoke crowd and going on "breaks" at work. It was weird st first but k care about my baby too much to be are kless. 14weeks2days♡

I quit the day I found out I was pregnant.   For me there was no question.   The baby's health is more important than anything else.   The horrible morning sickness helped because even the thought of smelling smoke would make me heave.  I'm 5 months and still have cravings, but smoking is a conscious decision you make that ruins your own body.  That baby depends on you to make the best decisions for its well being.   You are now a parent,  and your needs and wants no longer come first.

I'm not a smoker and never have been so I Dont know what yo going through but please please Dont smoke being pregnant. its a leading cause of mechonium aspiration, and nothing is worse then seeing your newborn precious baby so sick. its the worst feeling. I didn't smoke, I was just over due and my baby got it. we were in nicu for two months and he has asthma now, scared lung tissue and problems wjth his heart. congrats on the baby but I pray you can stop for the sake of the baby and yourself! ask your doctor for some suggestions

My husband & I were smokers when I got pregnant with my (almost) 3 yr old. We both decided to quit when we found out we were expecting. I smoked about 1/2 pack a day & quit by smoking one-two less every day until I was done. My hubs did the same & though it took him a little longer, he quit completely, too. He had lung issues & was probably the last person who should have been smoking. He commented to me one day, "I can take a deep breath without coughing." I replied, pointing to my belly, "This little girl saved your life."
I wish you luck in quitting, as it is the best thing you can do for you & your baby. My older kids were constantly sick as toddlers, I believe, because I picked the habit back up after giving birth. My daughter has had 3 colds & 2 ear infections her whole life. I won't kid you that it's easy-it's not. Hubs & I still get stressed & think how we'd like "just one" but we know one is all it would take to get us hooked again.
Congratulations on your baby & claps to you for wanting to quit. You're going to be an awesome mommy!!!
