already moms ....c-section questions?????

How long after you have a c section do you get to see your baby and do you get to nurse right away...?

I've also heard they don't let u hold the baby for a long time and get to nurse. I'm happy u asked this question :) it puts ease to my mind. I'm having a c section next week:)

Yay!!!! Thanks this makes me feel alot better about it. I has heard someone say that they take your baby and you won't get to nurse and I just wanted to be sure . Thanks so much !

I got to hold my baby before i was even stitched up on the operating table, and I got to nurse in the recovery room.

I'm having a second  c section and I got to see my son really quick they showed him and started doing  the check up for him ,  but once it's done they take him straight to the room  you won't wait long I was awake with the epidural  it goes by fast

It depends on a lot of things, for me I had to be knocked out for the csection so it was a good hour before I got to see my baby. Though your spouse/support can generally hold baby right away. If your awake usually they let you see baby, then clean baby up while they stitch you back together. If there's complications with you or baby it can change how everything plays out. I got to try to breast feed a few hours after his was born.
