stress

Im 33 weeks pregnant and I've been under a lot of stress lately and crying a lot because the father of my child is an alcoholic *******. Anyways, I feel like today almost all day my son has not been moving as much as he should. I I've been reading it's supposed to be at least 10 times an hour. I've felt him move about once in the past 3 hours. This is my first pregnancy and I'm Not sure how long I should wait to start to be worried. Comments would be appreciated.

Don't stress yourself out even more with the movement worries. Somedays you wont feel your baby move at all. With my first pregnancy our daughter would go a whole day sometimes without me feeling her move. But my midwife told me that sometimes the way they are positioned stops us from feeling them move. What you could try doing is laying on your back & place both hands on your stomach & most likely you'll feel a little kick or something. But stop letting all this stress get to you. I know it's hard but when your pregnant stress affects you much more & that causes even more stress. I went into labor with our daughter all because I was stressed over a little math problem I couldn't solve. So just the tiny amount can stress can affect you so just try to stay positive & think about how awesome it's going to be to hold your baby soon.

I understand girl. I've been through the most with the father of my child and he has other kids and I'm literally the only baby's mom he has that actually wants him in his childs life. It's very hard being as far as we are in pregnancy and not getting the proper mental support that we deserve. I still want the father of my child even after all the bs but I know if things were switched I would be cut off most likely.

Thank you and I'm not worried about fixing things with him because he doesn't care himself. I just wanna make sure my child is ok... But I don't have a midwife but I think calling the hospital and speaking with a nurse on call would be the same thing?

If you get really worried about your vabies movements call the midwife .... he she is probably just getting some good heavy sleep but if its really worrying you then just call they will help you .... as for your partners drinking problem talk to your midwife again she might be able to send you and him to the right people for some help.take some time to yourself to relax you will be suprised that just sitting still your baby will start moving about because you are relaxing stress is not good for you or baby. Good luck in your pregnancy and birth x
