I'm a ftm 21 weeks 4days. My stomach has been itchy quite a bit even with using the coco butter lotion. Im just wondering how far along you ladies were when you started getting stretch marks?

Seems like most women who get them,  they get them in the last month of pregnancy

I'll be 31 weeks Monday, gained 21lbs total and have not gotten a single stretch anywhere. However I have NEVER scratched any of the itchy areas that usually get them. I hydrate like crazy daily and moisturize religiously daily.

Stretch marks are genetic but continue to use cream. Also the Kore u itch the more then come rub instead of itching. My first baby I got them the last 2 wks of pregnancy an I used coco butter the whole time. My now pregnancy I just used lotion because they are already there an I can't do anything about them. You earned your strips they get lighter as time goes on after birth.

Drink lots of fluids and get some bio oil. It's 11$ on Amazon right now. I was 20 weeks when it first began.

Everyone thinks they can prevent stretch marks with lotion.. Truth is, its genetics. If you're gonna get stretch marks, you're gonna get them no matter what. It *****, but oh well.

Yes im 28 weeks frist baby and still no stretch marks. My mom and sisters all have 2 or more kids and they all had stretch marks. It might be skin type. You shouldn't worry to much.

Whether you get stretch marks is mostly genetic and there is nothing you can do to prevent those.  Otherwise, keep hydrated to keep your skin healthy and don't gain weight too quickly.  If other people in your family have them... there is probably nothing you can do.

Depending on your skin you may not get any. I recommend trying not to scratch as much as possible. With my first child my tummy got so many stretch marks. I'm 36 weeks tomorrow and I guess I have 2 where I can't see them. Honestly just depends on your body and weight gain.
