I've had 2 epidurals and 1 natural and I'm not sure what I'm going to do this time around. the epidurals didn't slow this for me both were about 25 min and I still felt a little so I knew when to push, without the epidural was still 25 min and I finally understood why they say remember to breath, that pain was worse than anything I had experienced but it was only for a short time.

I had an incredible experience with my med-free delivery of my first. No IV, no oxygen, no laughing gas. Me and my husband and my midwife and my strong willed belief in myself. It was amazing. Have someone there with you who will remind you to breathe through your contractions (you'll forget and hold your breath and it makes them SO MUCH WORSE) and don't allow anyone in the room who doesn't believe in you. Focus on the prize you'll get at the end. It's absolutely amazing and at least for me it proved how really strong I am and now I feel like I can absolutely accomplish anything in the world if I want it bad enough. I can't wait to do it again.

I've had three epidurals and they were great, no problems, didn't slow my process, for me it was a lifesaver and i plan to have another one this time around, good luck on your decision

The epidural made it soooo much more comfortable but slowed down my labor and I pushed for 2 hours! I didn't realize pushing for that long would make me so sore for the next few days. I laid in the hospital with a huge ice pack between my legs for two days. Not sure what I'm gonna do this time around

I went completely natural and I would never have an epidural. Natural isn't as bad as what everyone makes out... Sure it hurts but it's tolerable. I had gas &  air. With an epidural you don't feel your contractions so you don't know when to push... And you could be pushing for hours. It took me 30 mins to push naturally

Natural best if you can stand the pain. I was too late for an epidural or I would of Deffo opted for that. I had a pethidine injection and gas and air both rubish. Gas and air made me feel so sick the room was spinning like I was drunk. X
