My doctor told me not to eat too much sweets before the test. That's all he mentioned was sweet foods. The day of the test, if I'm hungry to eat boiled eggs but i normally dont eat that early in the morning, i will probably just drink water. My appointment is at 9:45. I was instructed to start drinking at 8:30 and finish by 8:45.

I would say just go ahead and fast before the test. A lot of times people fail because they didn't fast then they have to take a fasting 3 hour test and pass that one. Save yourself the trouble and fast the first time.

Usually for the 1 Hour test you don't have to fast I didn't have to, but if you are going for the 3 hour one then yes you have to be fasting. But some doctors are different so it's best to ask them if they want you to fast.
