I wasn't able to nurse my boy and am not counting on it with my girl. I just wanted to know if it was a common thing for low thyroid folks. I never thought I'd have that problem. I feel like my boobs are just decorative lol. They don't do much and it makes me sad.

I found out my tsh levels are a little off. I am on the lowest amount of synthroid they make. Im 33 weeks and everything has been fine with my levels.  I haven't heard a thyroid problem could decrease milk production. Ill definitely be asking my doctor about this next appointment.

I have been on levothyroxine 100 MCG for 10 years I'm 22 weeks and I was raised to 125mng  the doctor said being pregnant can make your levels go up. I asked if the levels will still be elevated after the baby is born and he said it just depends. I find that for me, having hypothyroidism while pregnant has increased all the systems, like dry mouth, constipation, nausea, extreme headaches and so on. With my first whoni had 10 years ago I didn't get to breastfeed because I didn't get but very few drops of milk, I dried up before I left the hospital but again each person is very different. Best of luck

I was born without a thyroid and am on a really high dose, 200MCG.

I'm wondering if any of you already have babies and if your milk came in. What does your doctor say about lactation?

Yes, I'm having a hard time getting it regulated due to pregnancy.  The keep upping the dosage.
