thyroid problems

I am 19weeks pregnant with my second child. Found out its a boy. I have a girl. I had no issues with her. I had my right thyroid removed a year ago and now with this pregnancy its rough. My tsh levels are high and the doctors are haven problems getting it down. Next step is ultrasound on neck and possible surgery before baby is born and very scared. Has anyone had any problems with there thyroid during pregnancy?

My mom had thyroid cancer for 10 years before they found it. She was pregnant with me when they found it and performed surgery on her at 5 months to remove the cancer. She went straight into radiation after she had given birth. She said she was miserable but she calls me her miracle baby because without me the doctors would have never found the cancer. I was a very healthy baby i weighed 7lbs 4 oz and never had any health issues as a baby.
