No if shes illigal she can't apply for medicaid even if she is fixing her imigaration status, but she can defenetly apply for CHIP prenatal and it will cover all her prenatal visits. Good luck to your friend an hope my info was helpful.

See if u can find like a free clinic.  I remember where I used to live they had one, each visit they asked for a "donation" $20 and well they would see you until birth, and they would help them apply for emergency medicaid. They would also help with the expenses it didnt cover afterwards through a program they had at the hospital. Ask around im sure you can find something.

No, but if she goes to clinic in her area that run by a public hospital she probably will get temporary mediciad through the clinic. This will last her for 2 months then she will start pay for her visit out of pocket.  Which is very reasonable, or she can pay what she have. Then when it's time to deliver the baby the hospital will help her apply for medicaid again to cover the bill. I know this is done at Florida the clinic that I goes to.
