umbilical cord question
Hello ladies! I have a question about my baby's umbilical cord If anyone might know more Then I do about It. My daughter was born a week and 2 days ago. The umbilical cord already fell off but there is still a little bit of stuff in her belly button. Its not alot and it doesnt hurt her if i touch it. Ive been putting a little alcohol on it throughout the day to make sure it stays clean. My question is can i give her a regular bath now or do i have to wait until the little bit of stuff thats still there goes away? It looks like its just little bit of dry blood... not big or sticking out of her belly button

My son will be 2 weeks old tomorrow and has the same thing going on with his belly button. I actually just gave him a bath and am now nursing him as I type. Just make sure you get it nice and dry after you give baby a bath.
Perfectly normal. As long as her cord came off its definitely ok to bathe now.
