Weight gain.

Had my appointment today. At 23weeks I have gained a total of 34pounds... Devastated. I don't know what I am doing wrong. The doctor said I am fine and don't need to worry or stress it. But I can't help it.

No one seems to get why I am so upset about the weight I have gained. I hate going to the doctor every month because of being weighed... Am I overreacting like everyone says?

I agree^^^ dont be too concerned about the weight more than what your actually putting into your body. You need to be eating nutritiously.

You should look at what your eating. ..is it just empty calories or is it actually good food for your body?

That I what everyone has told me. It's for a good reason.. But I am 23weeks, I put on 13pounds somewhere sense my last appointment which was on the 21st. And I've got 17weeks to go. I am just freaking out... I don't want to be huge and I just see myself going there and fast. The baby has just started to gain her own weight and she's only a pound. I am afraid of what my man will think and every day I will be seeing the same blob he sees and it's disturbing to me.

Gaining weight has always been a big thing to me, I've struggled with it and have a hard time losing it.. I like to think at least 15 pounds is from no longer smoking pot and cigarettes. But let's be real...

Only 25 to 30 pounds of what you gain is due to baby. That us the weight that is easiest to get off. The rest will come off just don't let it sit to long. The longer u keep the weight on after baby the harder it will be to get off!

Im 26 weeks about to hit the 30 lb mark... i havent had morning sickness(thank God), but I have been ravenously hungry the whole pregnancy!! My Dr. Told me to make some dietary chnages so I have been trying but still gaining rapidly. So at this point I am done stressing about it. If i gain 40 pounds or more this pregnancy than so be it. I am just trying my best not to get stretch marks. Lots of water and lotion! None so far and let me tell you my tummy is POKIN OUT cause I am only 5'1.

I always tell myself that the extra weight is going to my boobs and baby too :) obviously not all of it lol but knowing its for a good cause kind of helps my negative thoughts.

I was 160 when I got pregnant, now I am 194... I held my weight fine though, and didn't look it. I feel like I don't look 194 either, but I also see myself every day and so does my boyfriend so it's not like we are reliable eyes. Before I got pregnant I was a regular pot smoker and smoked cigarettes. When we found out we both quit, but because I smoked my weight staid steady 160 and now I am just putting on weight daily! It's got to be daily.

Devastated is a pretty strong word.  :(

If your doc says you look fine,  you do.  I gained 60 pounds with my second child,  went from about 110 to 172.

It all came right off.  If you've never had to worry about weight before you won't have to worry about it after the baby.
