I'm 39 weeks today is it ok to get induced everyone keeps telling me I should've waited until it was his time & now I'm regretting it

First of all congratulations on making it to the end! I was induced with my last pregnancy at 37 weeks due to complications and he was perfectly healthy and labour lasted about 3 hours. Sometimes it can take a long time.
