Working a job with heavy lifting

Hi there everyone,
I recently found out I am 5 weeks pregnant.  (Yay!) My concern or question is: I have worked as a CNA for almost 6 years now and my job involves alot of heavy lifting and standing for long periods of time. I am truly concerned about the heavy lifting especially when im not far along. Am I being over concerned or should I try and relax a little and just take it easy at work? ##nervous newmomtobe

If you did it before you got pregnant, you will be okay. Just start to take it easy and no lifting over a certain amount. 50 pounds is pretty heavy so try not to do anything near that.
Take it easy and tell your employer why, if they start to get snippy.

I am a manager of a retail store and I am 24w2d I throw freight and work 60hrs a week but it is different for everyone.  You need to speak with your dr and see what he says about you lifting mine told me nothing over 50lbs so I have to be careful cause im so used to not thinking and just lifting.  Just be careful and talk to your dr
