when should i start going to the doctor?

I'm 6weeks pregnant and really new and young to this. When should I start making doctors appointments?

In Canada our first prenatal is usually at 12 weeks, except when there is history of miscarriage.

Im 5w2d. I found out just last week and i called the next to set a apt up. My first apt is March 4th. I will be in the middle of my 6th week.

A letter as in what exactly? And what if I can't make the appointment...?

As soon as i found out i was pregnant i was straight on making a docs appointment i was only 2 weeks pregnant when i found out i panicked so much i had to go doctor! They dont really do much they just work out how far gone u are and tell u to wait for letter

You can call and set up your first appointment anytime - depending on where you live and what the protocols of that particular OB/midwife are... They'll usually see you for the first time somewhere between 8-12 weeks. But those can be long appointments so the sooner you call the easier it will be to fit you in the schedule.

As soon as you found out you are pregnant you need to make an dr appointment
