when to prep for baby

After years of trying, I'm now pregnant. So I've been planning for this moment forever now. I am 12 weeks pregnant and I'm ready to turn my make up room into a nursery, order the crib, etc. But my husband thinks it's too early. He thinks we should wait longer before I start buying baby stuff. When is a good time to get the nursery ready and buy the crib?

I was not in a big hurry to get everything, there is plenty of time.  I waited until something I wanted was on sale.

I don't see a reason not to start, but I wouldn't go out and just buy everything now. I'm not sure if your planning a baby shower, but if so you will get a lot of stuff from that. Also you may buy an item and find it's on sale later on. Personally I bough a swing quite early and then a few months later found a bunch of reviews say g that it was awful. Thankfully I still had a few days left on my receipt to return it, but even a week later and I would have been stuck with it. If you've seen the heartbeat then your chances of miscarriage are about as low as they will be by 12 weeks. I would at the very least clean out the room, paint if you planned too, that kind of stuff, and start looking to see what items you want and watch for sales. Best of luck and congrats on your little bean!
