Baby Items!!

Has anyone else started buying things for their little one yet? I'm 17 weeks pregnant and a FTM and have found myself going crazy with buying things this last week ever since we had the gender scan a week ago and found out we were having a boy. What about all you FTM?

I bought a onesie that says poo dat when I was like 8 weeks because I'm a huge new Orleans saints fan. I saw it long before I got pregnant and knew I had to get it once I was having a baby. my mom bought this cute old school little alphabet abacus type thing but that's all I've gotten so far. I'm 22 weeks and have barely started my registry.

I started buying things immediately when we found out I was pregnant, to help spread out the cost a little bit. Especially those bigger items like the travel system, swing, pack and play etc that I knew for a fact we wouldn't recieve as gifts. I picked everything gender neutral colors, so I wasn't worried about knowing boy or girl for most of those items.

Now that we know gender (it's a boy!), really all that's left to get are the nursery decor items and clothing! I suppose we have a few of the practical items like towels etc, left as well - but I am waiting on buying anything else at this point until after the baby shower!

I'm 33 weeks and did exactly what you did when we found out we were having a girl. Her room it's completely set up and everything is washed and ready to go! I recommend working on it early and getting your baby shower done soon too so you know what else you will need. Being 33 weeks now I'm starting to get a lot more pain in my back with work and am so glad I didn't procrastinate on her room. Just keep in mind all babies are different and you can prepare as much as you want but there is no right or wrong way! Good luck!
