An ER doc tried to give me something for nausea but I threw it away. When my doc asked if I was taking it at a regular visit I said no. All I could think of was thalidomide from the 60's (?) And all the babies born with defects. I didn't chance it.

I took It my whole first and second trimester.  It was prescribed to me by my doctor. Plus anytime I had to go to er due to hyperemesis They gave me It through iv. I took It alot.  I'm really worried now after seeing those ads about my baby.. She seems to be strong and healthy.  I Just hope That She's born healthy and That The zofran didn't affect her in any way. I'm 30 weeks So 10 weeks till I find out...

When I was nauseated early in pregnancy, I didn't know about zofran, I took (OTC) motion sickness tablets, and b-vitamin supplements and both methods helped. When I saw those ads about the lawsuits I was happy I hadn't taken zofran.

I gave birth to a baby boy 7 months ago. While I was pregnant I was prescribed Zofran and my son was born with a severe deformation to both feet. I just saw on tv that there is a lawsuit going on concerning this. I could not get to a pen fast enough so if anyone has the number please let me know ASAP. Thank you. Please don't anyone take Zofran for any reason during pregnancy.

*most* people who take it are OK, otherwise it would already be off the market.

I've been on it my entire pregnancy. I used to take it twice every 3 hours 8 mg. Now I take it about every 4 hours 8 mg. They did find a white spot on my baby's heart but said he will grow out of it before birth. But I trust zofran and i also wouldn't know how to eat without it!

I took one, when I had stomach flu. Then I found out about the heart defects. I threw the rest away. Wasn't worth the risk to me. That's a personal choice though. Doctors are only human. The prescribe meds and procedures knowing that there are risks and some people will be badly effected. They also prescribe things before long term studies have been done proving safety or danger, as we can see throughout history with countless meds being recalled or discontinued, and procedures becoming antiquated due to improved education and technology.  I'd rather not be one of those statistics if I have an opportunity to avoid it. Sometimes if your symptoms are so severe, the risks of action are worth it though. Maybe see if there is a safer drug. Or determine if you will be healthy enough without pills... Or is the morning sickness so bad that it is going to endanger your health and baby?

I've been on it my entire pregnancy. I'm currently 31+4. I also spent 9 days in the infectious disease section of the maternity ward last month and they pumped me with double doses of zofran every 6hrs. I don't think they would have given it if it was unsafe
