Really bummed...

My baby shower is next Saturday and nobody in my family is coming. I know there will be a lot of people coming but they are all from my boyfriend's side. My own mother isn't coming because she won't ask for the day off. I am really upset :(

I Don't have very much family close enough to come. But The people Who are most important in my life will be there So I'm happy. Besides my mom though.  She won't ask For The day off either Which pisses me off But whatever. That Is All on her.

I have the same situation. Do not feel bad. It is your day. Just get pretty and enjoy yourself. What's important are the gifts. U will need them. Take pics with you and daddy to be for memories to show your bundle of joy. Be happy U are having a shower. There are females out there that won't even get to experience that because no one planned one. Look at the positives. Most importantly look at it as another milestone that you are getting closer to meeting your baby

If it a your first baby that's a bit craps that your family aren't going to come especially if they don't live too far away

I have to have mine as an all day event because we have almost no family in our area and most of the people coming are my coworkers.

The only people I knew at my baby shower were my boyfriend and his mom. My family said no, and his family attended. It was so awkward but they'll definitely make you feel welcome.

I have the same problem. Only my family can't come, and my fiancé's family can't come. So it will be both of our moms, his dad, and about 6 or 7 close friends. Try not to get too bummed. Trust me, I know how hard it is and the hormones definitely don't help lol. Just try to remember how much the people that are coming truly care about you, and how much fun you'll end up having. :)
