Oh thanks a bunch. never heard of that acronym yet.
no children yet so this will be my first hopefully. yeah I read were it takes a cycle or 2 to get things figured out. I just didnt want to miss my chance this month if it was indeed "open" it wasnt soft like my lips, but it was I'd say medium.
I'm so confused w/ my chart.
I know your not suppose to check your cervix after you think you've ovualted but I am this month just so I "know".
and around the cd 22 it was high soft like my lips fertile cm all the signs....
then the past 3 days its started getting higher and yesterday it wasnt firm, but wasnt soft like my lips either had that dimple opening. and for the last 3 days i've had tons of fertile cm way more then I did at cd 22.
So i'm confused if I ovulated cd22 or just yesterday.
I know close to AF it will open again and you can get cm that seems like fertile cm.
but it was REALLLLY high , and was not anywhere close to soft or firm.
All the websites I read said it only gets higher w/ preggo and at ovulation time.
I'm just so lost.. oh well next month will be better once I have a cycle under my belt. or maybe i'm prego who knows?
Also, there is the acronym SHOW for when a women is most fertile. It stands for Soft (the texture of the cervix-soft like lips), High (harder to reach, almost up and back more), Open (the dimple you were talking about), and Wet (the best one, for many reasons!) I hope this is helpful and that you've gotten something new out of it.
Have you previously had any children? If so, then the opening of the cervix is usually a little bigger than before a vaginal birth. If not, then I would say you are open if you can get a finger in there! Ouch! I would think it is a bigger dimple too, if there's a 'dimple'. I think cp works the best when you have had a chance to go through a couple of cycles with it, since that is the best way to tell what is normal for your body.
Peace. :)
