How do you count your weeks?

Im confused....I joined Babycentre.com.....and they send me a little weekly update on the baby , things to be doing , eating etc.....and according to their calculation I'm 11 weeks and then it says ( or into your twelth week if thats how you prefer to count it) and according to my pregnancy ticker , I'm 11 weeks , BUT my Pregnancy Calander says I'm 12 weeks? so which is right? They are all going off of my last AF ~ Dec 8th?.....I counted on the Calander , and it matches , weeks 1-12 , Im jsut not sure how the ticker & babycentre got 11 weeks?.....Im SO confused LOL

According to my scan I'm 12w4d but I did notice that they had my LMP listed as 12/11 not 12/5 which it should be...

yeah it is all a bit confusing hey. my LMP was 9th Dec and my official due date figured from my ultra sounds is 14th sept!! we are all roughly at same stage and all confused! all i know is i am past the 12 week stage and that is a reason to cheer!!

None of it makes sense to me. I'm so confused. They say that you're two weeks pregnant before you even conceive and they give you a week that you're in. But then the 'gestational age' of the baby is different, I don't know HOW far along I am. ALL I know is that by the earliest time table I'm at least 12 weeks and hopefully out of that danger zone. LOL. My due date is Sept 16 according to my last ultrasound...

See you & I had the same last AF Mandy! and I have NO idea!.....My 1st ultrasound said my due date was Sept 16th....but from last AF is Sept 13th.....I've been going with the 13th since my calander and everything was already done up to that date before I had my ultrasound.....Now my calander says im 13 weeks as of sunday.....but babycentre says im 12 weeks......ARG! lol.....What Krissy says makes sense.....But its just odd

Alright, I'm lost. Help me. Lol. I should be just over 12 weeks? My LMP was Dec 5 and I have about a 33 day cycle.

i usually just say i'm IN my 13th week.  sometimes i will say 12wks5days.  usually then people make fun of me because i have it down to the actual day.  just say you are in the midst of your 12th week...maybe if asked by the doctor say 11wks4days...that is usually how i will do it.  it is not a dumb question--i went thru the same thing!  hehe.

Thanks :) It does make sense.....I am more just confused on what to tell people ....do you consider yourself 13 weeks pregnant? or 12? right now?......I consider myself 12 weeks because of my calander , all my information & such is recorded in my Calander which is also what I go by.....so is it okay to say im 12 weeks? even if im 11 weeks and 4 days? I guess so....seems like a dumb question , but it just perplexed me LOL

i was confused by this at first too.  i am 12.4 days, but i am IN my 13th week...meaning, i'm in the midst....some books read it that way, others read it the other way.  i get updates from babycentre.com too...  i just got my 12 week update, even though i have begun my 13th week.  you are 11 weeks and such and such days...but, you are in the midst of your 12th week because you are a few days beyond the 11 week point.  does that make sense to you?
