How long after the pill?

How long does it take for most women to become pregnant after birth control? I've been on the pill for 8 years and currently trying. I'm really anxious about it and have been off of the pill for about a month now but not pregnant yet.

My partner and I have been ttc since November 2016. I think my periods are trying to regulate themselves still so I'm hoping once they have I'll conceive.
Good luck!

The first time I waited 6 months after taking the pill for years before trying. My cycles became regular by that point and I got pregnant first time ( I was 28). This time I stopped the pill and started trying straight away (I was 34) and my cycles were all over the place and it took 10 months!

Was there a reason you waited so long the first time?
I waited as I wanted my periods to regulate so I could work out my cycle length and give myself a rough idea of ovulation. I had also read that it can take a while for your body to get to normal after the pill. Not sure how true that was but it meant I knew to the day when my period would start.

I got pregnant right after I went off BC. We were surprised. I was only on BC for about a year, though. My doctor had told me that the longer you are on BC, the longer it may take to adjust.

I've heard that from a few frieneds as well.. which is the reason why I'm so anxious about it now.
