We have insurance through my husband's work. I was just looking the other day (just so I would know) and we have coverage for infertility and procedures up to $20,000 in a lifetime. We have BCBS PPO. I am not sure how much we pay for it, as it comes out of his paychecks, but I am thinking that will be nice to have someday... just in case.
I think it also depends on what company you work at and what benefits they choose. I work for a school system and have an HMO through BCBS and all of my procedures are covered 50%. If I move up to PPO, then it will be covered 100%. I think Md has a law though that fertility procedures have to be at least partially covered by insurance.
Thank you everyone for your comments! I had no idea until yesterday that there is no insurance for any of this : (
