Positive Pregnancy test after early miscarriage

Okay here is the history...
My first day of my real last period was 10/14 that resulted in a pregnancy that didn't take. I had an ultrasound on the 28th because I was cramping and had a brownish discharge... The ultrasound showed that my uturas (sp) was at a normal size and there were no signs of pregnancy... So from there I had to go have my blood drawn to prove that I was pregnant before... there was low level of Hgc (? is that right) in my blood... That was on the 28 and 30 of November.

Today I took a pregnancy test and it came out positive.... Could it still be showing positive from the miscarriage before... or could I really be pregnant all ready???? I think that with my nerves I also pee'd on the test too long.. I will take another one as soon as I need to pee pee again...

Thanks ladies!
Jenn

My blood work came back yesterday - HCG levels were 54.  I have to have another blood test done tomorrow.  I truly hope this pregnancy will survive, I am so scared that I'm finding it very hard to be excited.

I too had a D&C on 11 Sept, I still have weight gain which is unusual for me and stomach cramps, we too decided to try straight away (why wait!) I did a HPT on 12 Oct and it was positive, I don't know whether to take it seriously or not as I have read about everyone's HCG levels being different, my doctor has never tested mine or mentioned it, I can't stop looking at the tests I have done, they are with me now, think I'm going crazy, I plan to do another one in the morning..

MY D&C was done over 2 weeks ago my doctor told me it usually takes 6 weeks for all the hcg to be gone out of your body and until then the tests will till come back postive.I had Hch levels done on monday and they were 15200 and had them done again today Wed and their 10400 so their going down at least.I can't wait for them to get back to zero so we can start all over again. Why don't you email me at christaj2 at hotmail dot com I had to write it out like this because it won't let us write our emails on here.Good luck though I hope you are pregnet!

hi ya, i had a miscarriage last friday, and have just stopped bleeding today, i was about 9 weeks pregnant, when i was about 6 weeks i went to the doctors cos i had brown discharge, he sent me for a scan at the hospital, she could see 2 sacs but they were a lot smaller than they should have been so she couldn't tell me whether i was misscarrying, having an ectopic or if everything was ok, so i had to have blood tests done for my hcg levels, they were at 99 on the first test and 102 two days later, so she called me the next day and said it looks like a failed pregnancy, the next day i did a pregnancy test and it read negative, i was gutted. i had to have a scan last friday to check if i had misscarried as i hadn't bled, only had pale brown discharge, but she said there was nothing there and my uterus had gone back to normal size, i only started bleeding when i got home from the scan, very heavy and the worst pains ever. i really want to try again now, doctor said to wait a month though,

I had a miscarriage Oct 27, bled for 5 days, I was 5-1/2 weeks pregnant.  My levels were down to 200 on Oct 31 and will had another hcg Nov 11.  I am feeling pregnant, but maybe its just PMS before I am to get my first period.  I wonder if i am preg b/c my husband and I have had sex twice already as my Dr. didn't say anything about not trying and  I have been very tired, and have swollen breasts. I am going to wait and see what happens.  If so, I pray to God this one keeps and good luck, many prayers to you all.  I will keep you posted.
