Waiting to Ovulate...

Hi all! I was a frequent poster a few months ago- I just finally went through a lap/hyst procedure to resect a uterine septum on 4/17.  There were a few other issues corrected and we have been cleared to TTC!  We decided to try naturally for awhile again, even though the RE recommended IVF w/ ICSI because of all of our test results. I took clomid this cycle(days 5-9) 5/10-5/14 now I am waiting to ovulate... I've been tracking my BBT as well as 2 times daily OPK tests(starting today)...
Any advice? I really am clueless as to when I should be expected to ovulate and I am DYING to get to the 2ww let alone begin POAS again!  I'm glad to be back!!!

Congrats to all!

Thanks for the kind words. You've been through quite a bit yourself!  The clomid has had me so confused. My RE told me to begin OPKs on CD10 after taking the clomid CDs5-9- I am now at CD 15 and no sign of ovulation other than tons of horrible cramps for the past 4 days!  My cycles are so messed up that normally I ovulate before CD 15- actually usually between Cd10-12...  Just now making myself worry that i wont even ovulate this cycle which will suck!
We've been BDing every other to every 2 days- I figure that once i get a positive OPK or sign on my BBT chart we will go every day for 3-4 days- his count and everything else is already low so i dont want to mess with that!

Anyways- still here waiting with you!   Good luck and super sticky baby dust to all!!!!!!

Hi Kati, gotahavefaith, yaya2kk! I haven't really been on in a couple days. How are you soon-to-be mommies??

Welcome back want2bamom11!

Wow, you have gone thru quite a bit. My prayers are with you that get prego naturally! I took Clomid last month, CD3-7. I ended up ovulating on CD12, and it was QUITE crampy. DH & I BD 1X after ovulating, so I suppose we really didn't try. Then I spotted from 9DPO to 17DPO. Yes, eight days of spotting to bleeding. I got excited the first couple days cause I thought it was inplantation bleeding, but it wasn't IB.:(     I'm also on Prometrium for 3 m/c's. It's a progesterone supplement, so maybe the clomid & prometrium together caused the spotting. Who knows. I wasn't sad when I got the BFN, just determined for this month to REALLY try. DH & I will be BDing starting CD10 to CD20. DR told me to BD for 3 days once I get a positive surge, but I'm going to go the extra mile and just BD for 10days straight. Only once a day though, don't wanna deplete his swimmers. LOL

Sounds like we're all waiting to ovulate, so we can get BDing. I've got 3 days till take off. LOL

***************************VERY STICK BABYDUST TO ALL****************************

WE'LL ALL BE MOMMIES SOON!!!

I am waiting as well, but not too hopeful this month.  I just want to move and then get ready to bd next ovulation cycle.  Although my (.Y.) are very sore...could mean pms though too.  :P

It sounds like you have been through a lot.

yaya2kk- Thanks for the Howdy! Good Luck to you as well- are you just beginning this journey?

Katebud- Thanks to you as well.  We have been BDing everyother day and i try my best to continue laying down for atleast 20 mins after! I haven't been elevating my hips because I fear i will be too high, but i have been laying flat.
Today is my CD11- my ovulation ranges from CD11-CD18 so it's a start of the waiting game I guess- I just am not sure what the clomid can do to shorten or lengthen the cycle...
Anyway- thanks again and wish my luck!!!!!

Holy cow, woman!  You have gone through more than most women on the planet!  Usually a woman ovulates 12-16 days into her cycle, the first day being the beginning of your period, even if it's spotting.  Dtd 1x everyother day, and then sleep on it!  :D  do not get up for at least 20 minutes, and do not prop yourself up too high, or the sperm may pool up behind your cervix instead of going in.  also, I've heard many times that rear-entry sex can boost conceiving chances, as the penis often directly touches the cervical opening in this method.  And do not *blushes* allow your man to "whack off" until cycle day 18, to preserve the good swimmers.
Sorry if this is more info than you wanted, I am just passionate about this subject and hope that someone gleans SOMETHING good from the advice.  :)
