To induce period while Breastfeeding

Hi Moms~! I wanted to see if anyone has ever tried to conceive before getting next period after having a baby. My daugther is almost 4 months old, and my hubby and I want to try for another baby. I know many people may think we're crazy, but we'd love it if our children were close in age. My concern is that I haven't had a menstrual cycle since my daughter was born, so I don't have any idea when I would be ovulating, if I even am. My doctor said I may not get a period until I'm done breastfeeding, but I can still ovulate and get pregnant. Has anyone else been through this? I'd really love to conceive soon, and hope I don't have to finish breastfeeding first. I plan to BF until my baby is at least 1 year old. Thank you

I breasted and became pregnant before I had a period. My son was about 8 months old when I conceived again. I probably could have gotten pregnant earlier, but my husband was deployed. I got pregnant a few weeks after he returned home.
Have faith.

So you never had your period after you gave birth to your son and still able to get pregnant when he's 8 months old?
