Opinions please?

Hi so I have been on birth control for the last 2 and a half years but I recently went off (no I am not trying to have a baby, just for other health reasons). My expected period was the 25th. I did not get this period. However, I did get a 48 hour light bleed on the 20th, but like I said it only lasted 48 hours. I know it sounds very similar to implantation bleeding. I took an EPT that Thursday the 25th after the short spotting and that was the day of my expected period and it did come out negative but I still haven't gotten my regular period. I have another test. Should I retest or do you think it's just going off the pill that's messing with it?

It can take a while for your hormone levels to balance again after coming off your pill (I was on the pill for 12 years and my cycles are still irregular months afterwards - both in length and what kind of period appears) so that could be a factor and the light bleed you had could have been it for this month. That said, it could also be too early to tell if you were pregnant. If in doubt though, best to speak with your doctor.
