Ovulation

Sooo, I'm currently trying to figure out when my O-Day is, my cycle is pretty normal, 28-days, my temp doesn't show any regulation and the OPK is ALWAYS just a faint line, my "fertile days" are supposed to be CD 12 - CD 17, today is CD 13, last month I tested CD 13 - CD 16, which were negative and I thought I missed it, well now I don't know anything anymore, any help, any thoughts?

Thanks to all :)

I was on the Nuva Ring too just prior to our TTC.  If I recall correctly, I think it took just a few months for my cycle to regulate.  One or two at the most.

it can take up to a year for your body to get back to a normal cycle after stopping birth control. I would suggest getting a physical from your dr to make sure you are as healthy as possible before getting pregnant. Also if you havent yet start taking a prenatal vitamin!  if you are wanting a girl its said you should bed as far away from ovulation as possible, lets say you do ovulate on day 14 i would have sex day 11 and 12. i would recommend charting to figure out your cycle too!

It's been a really long time since I have been on birth control, so I don't know how helpful I can be.  It could just be a possibility that your body is still regulating, but I really don't know for sure.  Probably be best to ask your dr.  What type of birth control were you on?

i just started TTC, this is actually the 2nd month :) , however my boyfriend already has 2 boys and i wanted nothing but a little girl, so does he, so therefore im trying to figure out when im ovulating, since it says that male sperm swims faster but also dies faster then female sperm

since i have just stopped birth control i havent had any chance to talk to my doc about this

Have you also tried tracking your cervical mucus?  How long have you TTC'd for?  It is possible that even though you have a period you may not be ovulating (which in most instances that can be fixed).  Have you tried talking to your dr about this?

most dr will tell you women ovulate on day 14 of their cycle, this is based on a 28 day cycle so in your case it happens to be true! (its actually 14 days before the first day of your period, which is day 14 on a 28 day cycle) anyways I would suggest having sex starting as early as day 11 and going to day 15. Once ovualtion has occured there is a very small window in which you can conceive, if the sperm are allready there and waiting for the egg to be released you have a way better chance, plus the egg will be new and wil not have started deterating yet. Hope this helps!
