pregnancy after an IUD

Has anyone had an IUD takin out so they could try to get pregnant? I'm 35, have 2 children, one ovary, and had my IUD takin out over a year ago. I'm wondering if these factors will make it harder for me to conceive. Does anyone have any insite on this????

What kind of IUD?  The merena and the paraguard are two very different devices in the way they work.

It might just be youre a bit older. I'd go get some bloods checked to make sure ovulating and go from there.

I had my IUD taken out in June. Started trying in July after I got my 1st period. (I didn't get a period the whole time I had my IUD) was pregnant by the end of August! I'm 35 years old.

How many ovaries did you have when you conceived previously? Having one can reduce fertility slightly, but your body does compensate for this- your fertility is not halved when you have half the usual number of ovaries, unless you have been told otherwise. Your one ovary will be releasing eggs more frequently than it would do with if it had a counterpart. Fertility is not affected post IUD use, unless you had severe complications, like an infection. If you're already trying for a pregnancy, keep up the good work- you'll get there ☺
