ttc having ovulation pain, have questions.

Hi everyone. Dh and I are ttc. Currently I am having pains on my right side. This isn't the first time I had ovulation  pain but this is my first time ttc so I'm more interested in them. Yesterday we got a faint positive opk in the am and a dark positive opk in the pm.I didn't  get the pain until this morning. My question is pain an indication  that I have ovulated or is the egg trying  to release from the ovary?

My understanding is that pain/twinges around the time of ovulation suggests that your egg has been released. Ideation that would be the time for you two to get it on. Ideally you should be charting your temp daily and looking out for raises in your temp. When you see these then do the deed. No matter what you think, You shouldn't have sex everyday as the sperm needs to build up. It's quality not quantity in this case.

thanks. While I haven't been charting my temp we have stuck to sex every other day.

I get the same pain. I get it every month. My luck was I had to have sex before the pain to get pregnant. HOWEVER this last cycle I baby danced right as the pain was coming on and got pregnant. I think it can be different for everyone. I tried to read up on it once, but didn't get anywhere. When I got pregnant with my two girls I bd'd before the pain and never got the pain that month, that was how I knew I was pregnant! This last time I got the pain but it was short. But it did throw me off and I really wasn't expecting to be pregnant.
