2 sacs on early scan

I had a private abdominal ultrasound scan which showed 2 sacs. One with a heartbeat and one without. The baby with a heartbeat measured 6+3.

Is there any chance that the second sac will continue to develop? The guy who did the scan said that the second sac may or may not be there at 12 weeks and that was it. He made me feel bad for asking questions about the second sac as there was one healthy baby there with a visible (but not audible) heartbeat, as if it didn't matter what happened to the second sac! Maybe i'm being ultra sensitive being pregnant etc but this is still a worrying time.

I paid for the scan to ease my mind and I now feel confused and stressed.

I am going on 25 weeks and this happened to me in the beginning of my pregnancy. The day I found out I was pregnant I also found out it was twins but the second one didn't have a heartbeat so my dock wanted to have another ultrasound two weeks later when I was 8 weeks. When I had that next ultrasound there was still no heartbeat so the doctor explained how the baby would dissolve and it did. I hope this doesn't make you more stressful but helps you out some. I would love to keep in contact with you. Remember what is meant to be will be.

i know its hard but what will be will be if you are meant to have 2 beautiful babys then you will but at the moment you have to try and put it to the back of your mind as stressing and worring will put pressure on the baby you actually saw xxx
