Hcg levels...question for a family member

My cousin has been trying to get pregnant for a while now, she has one son that was born at 28wks gestation. I am concerned as she is 100% postitive she is 5wk 1day pregnant. She had a lab today and her level was 33,615 that seems so high to me. I wanted your opinions. Thanks ladies.

Yes she added that. I'm just nervous, I work at a clinic. To me those numbers are too high; and I'm worried about ectopic or molar. She isn't worried about it, hopefully she is right and I'm just a worrier...

The numbers game is crazy...sometimes high numbers can mean multiples, sometimes not.  Hopefully, she can get into see an OB very soon!!!!!!   Is she including the two weeks starting with the day of her period until she ovulated in her estimation?  Sometimes people start counting from the day of conception and that is not accurate.

No she is military they have to wait for a referal for her to even see the OB, she just got a positive pregnancy test today via the clinic.

I just think these numbers are high, even if there was a chance it could be multiples...
