Hello, I am new here.

Just wanted to say hello and thank pookie for inviting me to join. My screen name is Sadiesmommy and I am 29 yrs old from the western new york area. I have been married to my husband for 4.5 years. I currently have a ten yr old step son Kyle and a 2.5 yr old son Aiden. My twins were born on December 30th 2008 and were exactly six weeks early. They weighed an astonishing 5 pounds 15 ounces a piece. Their names are Alexander and Ethan. We were blessed with our twins after two heartwrenching miscarriages and as of right now are pretty sure we are done having babies LOL! Alexander did great and was able to be discharged with me home, Ethan's abdomen became distended later the first day and he was taken to a different hospital and was discovered to have an anorectal malformation which was corrected surgically on Jan 2nd, he recovered fairly quickly and was discharged home with us on the 12th. Since then both boys have been doing great and growing fast, they are both over 10 pounds now and are getting their first shots today =-(. Ethan's surgical follow-ups continue to bring us great news and his developmental check up early this week showed he is ahead of schedule as they allow for his prematurity and compare him to one and a half month olds even though he is over two months old. Both boys slept through the night last night which was great although mommy kept waking up to check on them positive they were going to wake up any second!!
Well that is alittle bit about me and my family, I think forward to getting to know you all and getting some great advice on raising twins. I am sure I don't have to explain any lengthy absences at times to any member of this forum =-) but I try to check here regularly and look forward to talking to all of you.

Welcome to the forum!  I hope to learn a lot from all the mommies who already have twins! :)  I cant get over that your boys were 6 weeks early and still weighed over 5 lbs!  wow!
